Priscilla “Arline” Pelletier, 82, passed away on December 3, 2021 in Manchester, NH. She died of natural causes after a year of declining health. She was surrounded by family.
Arline was born on September 3, 1939 in Biddeford, Maine, the daughter of the late Lucille and Sylvio Aube. She was a long time resident of Merrimack, NH where she and Gene, her late husband of 59 years, raised their two children, and later, Goffstown, NH.
Arline was a constant loving and supportive presence in the lives of her family. She particularly relished her role as “Mèmére” to her four grandchildren, by whom she was continually amused and impressed. Arline was an accomplished seamstress and loved crafts of all kinds and holiday decorating. She had a brooch for every occasion.
Arline’s Catholic faith was an essential part of her life. She was an active member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Merrimack and then Ste. Marie Parish in Manchester in her later years. At St. John Neumann she taught CCD for many years, was a longtime volunteer of both the church food pantry and the day-away program for parishioners with Alzheimer’s and was deeply grateful to serve as a Eucharistic Minister.
Arline was always a valued employee and beloved colleague in her work life, which included many years at the State of NH Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation in Nashua.
Arline will be remembered as a patient, kind and accepting mother, Mèmére, sister, Auntie, and friend. She will be deeply missed.
A funeral mass for Arline will be held this summer.
Arline’s family members include her son Mike and his wife Joanne of Bedford NH; daughter Suzanne and her husband Jason Lannert of Brooklyn, NY; grandchildren Martin and his wife Jessica, Siobhan, Julien Lannert and Otto Lannert; sisters Sheela Mather of Hudson NH and Carol Aube Kaiser and her husband Nick of Arizona; brother Norman Aube and his wife Cindy of Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
