Obituary

After a long, beautiful life filled with much love, laughter and family, our dear Mother and Grammy Priscilla J. Legere Poulin Vernon aged 86 has passed away.

Priscilla was the youngest of five children born in Berlin NH to Josephine and Armand Legere. Her siblings were Alfred Legere, Alice Roy, Irene Couture and Maria Bergeron Priscilla graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1957. Later, in 1958 she married the love of her life Paul Poulin. Her first child, Lise was born 1959, followed by her son Dennie 1960. Priscilla took great joy in following Dennie and Lise’s athletic careers. She could be found at the hockey rink or basketball court on any day/night cheering on her kids. Unfortunately in 1988 Paul passed away after a valiant fight with cancer.

She started a new chapter in her life when she married her second husband Bruce Vernon. Later in life she spent many hours in hockey arenas and basketball courts following her grandchildren. Anyone who knew Priscilla felt welcomed and loved. She always had a great attitude of “one day at a time” and would start each day declaring “it’s a mighty fine day”. She loved her family deeply, watching sports, and eating good food including whoopie pies. When arriving at her favorite restaurants we would hear her say “let’s do what we do best”. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but especially her daughter Lise Poulin Tierney, her son Dennie Poulin and wife Cyndy, her grandson Ben Poulin and wife Sara, granddaughter Megan Tierney Pullo and husband Leo, grandson Nick Poulin and wife Kaylee, and granddaughter Emma Tierney Lafleur and husband Josh.

Our family would like to acknowledge the outstanding care Priscilla received from the staff of Cornerstone VNA, including Nurse Jamie, health care worker Shawna, and counselor Melissa. We are deeply grateful for the care, kindness and love mom received from everyone from Cornerstone VNA who cared for and visited with mom over the ten months she spent in hospice care.
