Priscilla F. Wafer, 96, of Webster, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at her home on August 7, 2026.

Priscilla graduated from Keene High School and went on to earn her nursing degree through Elliot Community Hospital in Keene. A nurse by profession and a caregiver by nature, she found great joy in taking care of the others. She will be remembered for her strength, her generous heart, her love of cooking, and the warmth she brought to those around her.

Some of Priscilla’s happiest memories were made surrounded by family in the summertime. Growing up, she spent her summers at the family summer house on Granite Lake. She later carried that same love of summer and family traditions into her own family, taking her children and grandchildren on cherished summer vacations to Lake Winnisquam and York Beach. These memories of sunny days, time together, and family traditions will live on in the next generation.

Family was at the center of Priscilla’s life. She is survived by her sons, James Wafer and his wife, Kandace Wafer, and Matthew Wafer; her daughter, Rebecca Hoar; her grandson, Benjamin Hoar; her granddaughter, Molly Hoar and her fiancé, Jakob Graves; her great-granddaughter, Emerson “Emmie” Graves; her grandson, Alexander Wafer; her sister, Martha Fisher; Her brother, Bud Fisher; and many nieces and nephews.

To her grandchildren, she was lovingly known as “Nanny,” a name that quickly became hers to many. More than just a grandmother, Nanny was someone who made the people around her feel cared for, loved, and at home. Her love extended far beyond her immediate family, and she became Nanny to many who were lucky enough to know her.

Priscilla held a particularly special place in her heart for her first and only great-grandchild, Emmie. Their bond brought her tremendous joy, and she cherished every moment with her newest family member.

Priscilla was also deeply grateful for her caretaker, Desirea Heath, whose kindness, companionship, and care meant so much to her. Nanny referred to Desirea as her “BFF,”a testament to the special bond they shared. Desirea’s love and support will always be remembered.

She was predeceased by her Father, Sumner Fisher; Mother, Priscilla Fisher; brother, David Fisher; sister, Cynthia Stevens; and son-in-law, Brian Hoar.

Priscilla leaves behind a family who will forever carry her strength, love, and memory with them. Her life was one of caring for others, and the love she gave so freely will continue through the generations of her family.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
