Ralph R. Fellbaum, Jr, 74, died June 15, 2003, at the Elliot Hospital after a long period of failing health. He was born in Manchester, NH on January 16, 1929, the son of Freda (Simons) and Ralph R. Fellbaum, Sr. He was a graduate of West High School. He retired from Otis Elevator in 1993, after 45 years of service. He belonged to Local 4 Elevator Construction Union. Ralph was a member of the Raphael Club, the Derryfield Country Club, the Pointer Club, Mt. Royal, IOOF Lodge of Masons and the Sweeney Post. Mr. Fellbaum was an avid golfer with 5 holes in one to his credit and was also an avid gardener, best known for the "Ralphie Tomato". He served with the 1st Ordinance Battalion 1st Marine Division during the Korean Conflict. He loved to fish and hunt all over the state. Family members include his wife of 14 years, Rosalind (Hartford) Fellbaum of Manchester, NH, a daughter, Jill Machini of Uncasville, Connecticut, four sons, Ralph Fellbaum III of Dunbarton, NH, Randy Fellbaum of Barnstead, NH, Jay Fellbaum of Weare, NH and Jeffrey Fellbaum of Pala Alto, California, two sisters, Ruth Bamber Million of Seabrings, Florida and Rachel Hoblin of Lockport, Illinois, four step children, seven grandchildren, one great granchild, several nieces and nephews. Cremation will be by the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH and a private burial will be at the convenience of the family. SERVICES: A celebration of his life will be at the Manchester Country Club, 180 South River Road, Bedford, NH, on June 20, 2003, between 6 and 9 PM, for all those who wish to pay their respects.
