Ralph "David" McCarty, 51, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2016 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Ralph was born on February 1, 1965, the son of John and Angeline McCarty. Ralph graduated from Lawrence High School, class of 1983. After graduation, Ralph enlisted with the U.S. Army. He served our country for four years. Upon returning to Maine, Ralph attended Andover College. He went on to work his entire life in the wholesale food supply business. Ralph started out with A & G in Portland, ME before relocating to Manchester, NH, where he spent his last 23 years with the company.
Ralph was an amazing father to his only son Phillip. The two of them would spend endless hours of gaming together.
Ralph loved to camp, especially with his good friend André Kruppa. Ralph went to Baxter State Park every year with his friends and immensely looked forward to their annual adventure. Ralph was an avid reader and amassed a collection of books beyond belief. He read everything he could get his hands on, including the Bible, more than once. Ralph loved to go to Solon to the hunting camp to be with his brothers.
Ralph is survived by his son, Phillip Lewis, mother Angeline LeHay, step-mother Natalie McCarty, brothers Donald McCarty and Kelley Maloney, Robert McCarty and Carol Denton, Charles McCarty and wife Sylvia, Paul McCarty and wife Valerie, Willie Lehay and wife Charity, Nick Lehay, sisters Mary McCarty and Pierre Quirion, Kathy Williams and husband John, Laurie Verado and Jeffrey Cormier, sister-in-law Ramona Quirion, aunt Patricia Coro as well as many nieces and nephews, and his very special cat, Princess.
He is predeceased by his father, John McCarty, and brother Owen "Scott" Quirion.
Per the family's request, there will be no visitation hours or funeral services at this time. A Christian burial will be performed at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Cremation Society of New Hampshire.
