Ramona Dawn (Dean) Anderson, 89, passed peacefully on May 20, 2026, in New Hampshire.

Dawn was born April 13, 1937, in Greenville, ME, to the late Paul and Ramona (Murray) Dean. She shared 62 years of marriage with her late husband, Donald “Zeke” Anderson.

Dawn grew up in Greenville, ME. After graduating from Greenville High School, she moved to Nevada and California working for Trans World Airlines where she met Zeke. They eloped in 1962, enjoyed traveling, and visits back to New England, until they retired to Greenville, ME.

Dawn loved Moosehead Lake. She was an impressive swimmer and taught the next generation to water ski. Dawn enjoyed many summers at Newfound Lake in NH and was always up for a family grand adventure trip. She was an amazing card player, an avid reader, and loved Disney and Mickey Mouse.

Dawn is survived by her sister, Paula (Dean) Lacroix of Boscawen, NH, and her brother Quentin Dean and his wife Alma “Charlie” Dean of Boscawen, NH. Dawn was the beloved aunt to Michele Lacroix of Groton, NH, Melinda and Michael Cole of Penacook, NH, Melanie and Jim Shokal of Alexandria, NH, Quentin and Audrey Dean, Jr, of Litchfield, NH, Rhonda Duhamel of Manchester, NH, Paul and Michele Dean of Reading, MA, and Marcia and Edward “Ted” Merrow of Boscawen, NH. She also leaves behind great nieces and nephews who adored her, the Owens family, and the North Birch neighborhood family.

Dawn was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and a younger brother, Hurley Dean.

A sit-down service to celebrate Dawn’s life will take place at The Cremation Society of NH, 172 King Street, Boscawen, NH, on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Greenville Cemetery, Greenville, ME, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dawn’s memory to Friends of the Mountain, PO Box 307, Greenville Jct, ME 04442.
