Raymond J. Gagne, Sr., 66, of Manchester, died Monday, April 20, 2009 at his home surrounded by loved ones, following a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester, NH, on September 16, 1942, the son of the late Wilfred J. Gagne and Lillian (Doyon) Danault. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
He was a retired self-employed painter.
He will be remembered for many things, the love of the beach, bowling and playing poker.
Members of his family include; his companion of 21 years, Nancy Savage, of Manchester; his son Raymond J. Gagne, Jr., of Manchester; three daughters, Rachael Auger, of Goffstown, NH; Jill Gagne, of Goffstown, NH; and Sandra Morin, of Bedford, NH; many grandchildren, 1 sister, Claire M. Landry, nieces, nephews and cousins.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be Friday, April 24, from 12:00 – 1:00 P.M, at the Cremation Society of NH, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 P.M.
It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to The American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Drive, #110, Bedford, NH 03110, in memory of Mr. Gagne.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Cremation Society of New Hampshire.
