Raymond R. Houle, Sr., 80, a longtime resident of Goffstown, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Catholic Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Anne L. Houle with whom he shared thirty-eight years of marriage.
He was born in Manchester on September 1, 1940 and was the son of the late Henri and Josephine (Labelle) Houle. Ray worked as the head of Shipping & Receiving at Fibercraft until his retirement. Earlier in his career he held many leadership positions at Schonlands, Auto Fair and Stride Rite.
He loved gardening, mowing the lawn, and could be best described as an outdoors type person. He was enthusiastic about motorsports and enjoyed the thrill of speed and competition. He was good at everything he did, from carpentry, plumbing, bricklaying to automotive repair. He was never afraid to try doing something himself. Ray was a loving father who had a way of teaching by example which has made a lasting impact on the lives of his sons.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Raymond "Ray" Houle, Jr. and his wife, Patty and Timothy "TJ" Houle and a stepson, Bruce Hutchins; three grandchildren, Corey, Lindsey and Madisson Houle; one sister, Harriet Bourassa and two sisters-in-law, Anita Davis and her husband, Richard and Nancy Sarette and her husband, Michael.
ARRANGMENTS: Services for Ray will be privately held at the convenience of his family.
