Reed Stevens 100 years old, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2021. He was born March 14, 1921 to the late Arthur Stevens and Dorothy (Reed) Stevens.
Reed graduated from Proctor Academy and Wentworth Institute. He was in the Coast Guard during WWII and stationed in Iceland. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Temple. Reed married Virginia (Smart) Stevens in 1951 and is survived by his 4 children. Beverly Armentrout of Concord, Dorrie Perron and her husband Ray Perron of Chichester, Meredith Stevens of Lebanon, Reed W. Stevens and his wife Lisa Stevens of Concord. Two grandchildren Christopher Perron of Tenn. and McKenzie Stevens of Concord. Two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Reed is predeceased by his wife Ginny Stevens and granddaughter Amber Armentrout. Reed worked at the family business Concord Lumber Company. He loved to ski and enjoyed being on ski patrol for many winters. He loved boating on Lake Winnipesaukee and was on Marine Patrol for many summers. His nickname was Bumpa and he will be remembered for his many smiles and giggles. He was honest, a legend, aged gracefully and genuinely loved by ALL. Celebration of his life is at the Concord Country Club September 11th 2021 from 11AM to 4PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Concord Pope Memorial SPCA 94 Silk Farm Road Concord N.H.
