Rejean Paul Thibault

Rejean Paul “Reggie” Thibault, 76, of Manchester, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at Catholic Medical Center, surrounded by family and friends, on May 25, 2025.

Born on January 20, 1949, in Ste. Pamphile, Quebec, Canada, Reggie was the son of Jean Paul and Claire (Charland) Thibault. In 1967, he moved to the United States. That same year, while working at Chicopee Mills in Manchester, he met Jacqueline “Jackie” Boisvert—the love of his life. They were married on July 6, 1968, in Manchester, and shared a devoted marriage that spanned 45 years until Jackie’’s passing in 2013.

A master welder and sheet metal fabricator by trade, Reggie dedicated over three decades of his career to Ace Welding in Merrimack, New Hampshire. His work ethic was unmatched—he took pride in every weld and every project he touched. Known for his reliability and skill, he earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike. He often spoke fondly of his time at Ace and held deep admiration for his bosses and friends, Brian and Mary Robinson.

Beyond his professional life, Reggie was deeply committed to his community and family. He spent many years coaching and umpiring girls’ softball at South Jr. Deb in Manchester—a role that brought him great joy and allowed him to coach his three daughters. An avid outdoorsman, he found peace in hunting and fishing trips and could often be found woodworking or watching birds from his backyard. He enjoyed relaxing with his beloved cat, Menou “Ginger.” Camping and walking along the beach with Jackie were among his favorite pastimes. He also loved playing cards, a hobby that brought laughter and connection to those around him.

Reggie was a man of remarkable skill and creativity. With gifted hands and an inventive spirit, he could fix anything and build just about everything. His craftsmanship left a lasting legacy—most notably in the cradle and changing table he lovingly made for his first grandchild and later used for his other grandchildren—a testament to both his talent and his deep care for family.

Reggie’s greatest pride was his family. He is lovingly remembered by his three daughters: Tammy Calligandes and her husband George; Tina Bento and her husband Rick; and Melanie Sarette and her husband Stephen. His legacy continues through his five grandchildren: Mandy Sarette and her wife Abigail Sarette; Michael Sarette and his fiancée Nichole Chauvette; Caislin Bento; Jacob Rejean Calligandes; and Alexa Calligandes. He also leaves behind two cherished great-grandchildren: Kennedy Jacqueline Sarette and Brayden Sarette.

He is remembered with love by his siblings: Francis Thibault; Jean-Claude Thibault and his wife Beverly Rouleau; Daniel Thibault and his wife Nathalie Rousseau; Martin Thibault and his wife Chantale Giguere; and Claudette Thibault and her partner Lynn Roy. Reggie also held a special place in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jackie; his parents, Jean Paul and Claire Thibault; his brother, Ghislain Thibault; and his sister, Michelle Thibault.

Reggie will be remembered as a hardworking man who was always willing to lend a helping hand—a steady presence whose quiet strength anchored those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Reggie's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the medical professionals at Catholic Medical Center for the exceptional care and compassion they provided during his final days. Their dedication brought comfort during a difficult time.
