Rena McKenzie Gray Brockett, 81, of Concord died on June 10, 2003 at Hospice House after a period of declining health. She was born on June 16, 1921 in Scotland, the daughter of the late James and Marjorie (Gray) Boyle. Rena was a homemaker and mother who was active in church work and served as a hospital volunteer in several New Jersey communities. She founded a community based assisted program for residents of a retirement community in Whiting, New Jersey. She moved to Concord in 2000 from Cornwall, PA. Family members include; two sons, Ronald Brockett of Concord and Royce Brockett of Albuquerque, New Mexico; four grandsons, Royce of New York, Reid of Florida, Ryan of Kansas and Rusten of Texas; and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Royce M. Brockett who died in 1990. Burial will take place at a later date in Whiting, New Jersey.
