Rena Twombly

Rena Twombly 84, of Strafford, NH passed away June 21, 2020 at Riverside Rest Home of failing health.

Born on March 21, 1936 in Northwood, NH, she was the youngest of five siblings to the late Thomas Hodgdon and Ella Chase Curtis. Rena attended Northwood Schools. In 1958, she married Ralph M. Twombly Sr. and they moved to Strafford where they raised three children whom she loved and adored. She enjoyed country music, flowers, shopping and spending time with her family. She retired from UNH where she was a long-time custodian employee. She loved her job and enjoyed socializing with all the college students.

She was the loving mother of three; Darlene (Twombly) Dixon, Ralph Twombly, Jr. and Kathleen Twombly. She was grandmother to Edward Watson, Benjamin Tessier, Krystal Mayo, Anthony Camelo, Ashton Twombly, Jacob Dixon, Brittney Twombly, and Mason Twombly; great grandmother to Trenton Mayo, Harper Seiders, Serenity Twombly, Atticus Seiders, Yahlia Agengo, and Amelia "Rena" Camleo (named in honor of her great grandmother). Rena is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.

Rena was predeceased by her husband; daughter; two sisters, Lucy Twombly and Grace Jock; two brothers, Maurice Hodgdon and Carroll Hodgdon; and stepfather, Maurice Curtis.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
