Rene W. Levesque, 63, passed away peacefully at his home in Gilmanton, NH on the 16th day of April, 2017. Already being a cancer survivor for several years, he succumbed to a rapid battle with liver cancer. He was born March 29, 1954 in Seattle, WA, the son of Joseph E. Levesque Jr, and Catherine M. Levesque of Kittery, ME.

Rene attended Portsmouth High School and then enlisted in the United States Army. After his service to our country, he began his civilian career which utilized his multiple talents and skills. Rene loved exploring the outdoors. He fished, hiked and camped among the wildlife. He also enjoyed photography, cooking, building things with his hands which included carpentry, model making and crafts. In his last few years his greatest passion was his relationship with Jesus Christ. His eyes shone the love and compassion he held deep within his heart because of that relationship.

He was pre-deceased by his father Joseph E. Levesque, Jr of Kittery, ME.
He is survived by daughter Rhonda L. Beaver and her husband Todd and their children Tyler and Haley of Rogers, AR; son Joseph J. Levesque and his wife Shanna and their children Chelsea and James of Tahlequah, OK; his ex-wife Glenda Chitty of Rogers, AR; his mother Catherine Levesque of Kittery, ME; sisters, JoAnn Roberts and her husband Paul of Kittery Point, ME, Nicole Labrecque and her husband Paul of Barrington, NH; nephews and nieces, Michael, Jessica, Ethan, Katherine, and Wyatt.

Services: A memorial service will be held at Gowen Park in Sanford, ME at 11:00 am on Monday April 24th. There will be a military graveside ceremony at Southern Maine Veteran's Cemetery following at 1:00 pm.
