Rene E. Levesque

Rene E. Levesque of Hudson, New Hampshire passed away January 13, after succumbing to complications associated with COVID-19. He was born October 1, 1943, son of Pauline and Gerard Levesque.

Rene was a 1962 graduate of Nashua High School. Rene dutifully enlisted and served two tours in Vietnam with the Army Signal Corps, beginning June of 1962.

He married Sheila Zedalis in 1965, August of 2020 marked their 55th wedding anniversary.

Rene worked at BAE for 37 years as an engineering assistant in the Microwave Division.

Besides his wife Sheila, he is survived by his daughter Lisa Sayin of San Antonio, Texas; his son James Levesque and wife Kim of Litchfield; His grandchildren Amy Deltrecco and her husband Tony Deltrecco of Derry; Katie and Michael Levesque of Litchfield; His brother in-law Jonathon Zedalis and sister in-law Andrea Levesque. Rene is survived by his first great grandchild, Anthony Joseph Deltrecco, aged 4 months. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Rene was predeceased by his brother Ronald G. Levesque.

Rene made a lifetime of memories with family and friends in Canada, the place he felt happiest. In his younger years Rene enjoyed hunting and fishing. Throughout his retirement he found joy in watching and feeding the birds. His most recent happiness and light was found spending time with his great grandson Anthony.

Rene was a lifetime supporter of veterans organizations, we will continue to carryon and support those that were special to him.

A mass will be held at St. John The Evangelist Church, 25 Library Street, Hudson, New Hampshire on Monday, January 18th at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations payable to: DAV – Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.

Our final wishes, in memory of Rene, are that everyone stay happy, healthy and safe.
