Rene D. Rousseau, 63, of Milford died February 18, 2006 at Southern New Hampshire Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Rene was born on July 6, 1942 in Derry, the son of Raymond and Cecile (LeBlanc) Rousseau. He was a US Navy veteran who served his country for four years. He worked for Future Electronics as a warehouse manager in Massachusetts before retiring to Milford in 1986. In his leisure time, Rene enjoyed building dollhouses for his family and friends. He was instrumental in implementing the Hospice Pet Therapy Program which today, due to his efforts brings comfort to those stricken with chronic illnesses. He had a love for the ocean and vacationing with his wife at Hampton Beach. He was a loving husband, dedicated father and adoring grandfather. Family members include; his wife of 20 years, Nancy (Mallows) Rousseau; two sons, David Rousseau and his wife, Susan of Worcester, MA and Steven Rousseau and his wife, Melissa of Candler, NC; daughter, Robin Hines and her husband, Paul of Auburn, MA; stepson, Derek Piper and his wife, Mary of Chelmsford, MA; stepdaughter, Laurie Jewett and her husband, Darryl of Merrimack; 11 grandchildren; one brother, Norman Rousseau; two sisters, Irene Tessier and her husband, Donald of Leominster, MA and Linda Langille and her husband, Charles, of New Ipswich, NH; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, February 24th at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church on West Street in Milford.
