Renee F. Winge

Renee F. Winge died peacefully on July 22, 2024 in Nashua, New Hampshire after losing her battle with dementia. 

Born May 21, 1947, she was the third child of Regino Lombre and Fledra (Lombre) Hatch. She is survived by, her son, Joren Winge and daughter-in-law, Connie, her daughter, Nicole (Winge) Donovan and son-in-law, Charles, her grandchildren Cassian, Ellie Rose and Mia, her mother, Fledra and step-father, John Hatch, brother Regino Lombre and sister-in-law Cheryl, sister Dolores Lombre Tucker and brother-in-law Royal, brother Arturo Lombre and sister-in-law, Cathy, sisters Cheryl and Traci Lombre, Leah Hatch and brothers Allan and Robert Hatch. Born into a large family, Renee leaves countless cousins, nieces and nephews.

Renee’s childhood was spent in Boston and Stoughton, MA and she was a graduate of Stoughton High School in 1965. After graduation, she attended Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1969. She moved to California where she obtained a Masters of Arts from San Francisco University in 1975 and another Masters in Social Welfare from Berkeley College in Berkeley, CA in 1985. She married Jon Winge and although they eventually went their separate ways, they raised their two children together. Renee worked as a Social Worker for the City of San Francisco and Alameda County for 37 years until she retired in 2010. 

Renee enjoyed various types of music and played the flute and guitar. She was also crafty. She loved to knit and sew; she owned 3 looms, painted and dabbled in jewelry making. She was very generous and donated to endless charities. Renee was an active member of the Lassen Street Church of Christ, Vallejo, CA and enjoyed the company and friendships of many from the church. She touched the lives of many and will forever be in our memories and prayers. Rest in peace.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated at Forest Hills Cemetery, 95 Forest Hills Ave Boston, MA, on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Amedisys Hospice Care, 8 Commerce Drive Suite 101, Bedford, New Hampshire, 03110.
