Rhonda (Geddes) Houghton

Rhonda (Geddes) Houghton, 62, of Tilton, NH died peacefully at her home on June 9th surrounded by her family. She was born in Manchester, NH, the daughter of the late Alan Geddes and Marjorie Glover Geddes. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Francis Houghton, her son Christopher Houghton, and her grandson Nathan Houghton. Rhonda was like a mother to Jacky Hieken. She is also survived by her siblings Vicki L'Heureux, Rebecca Timberlake, Lane Colby, Clair L'Heureux, and Melissa Miller as well as many nieces and nephews. There are several people to whom she was a very special "Auntie", especially those for whom she provided daycare.

Rhonda cannot be described in just a few words. She was an avid baker and her cookies, cakes, and other goods were devoured by anyone she presented them to. She loved camping, especially in the White Mountains and her love of nature brought her peace. Rhonda also loved watching the birds in her yard and taking care of the flowers that she planted around her home. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rhonda worked most recently at Avalon Animal Hospital in Franklin, NH and was well known for her love of animals, especially her dogs.

Services: A Celebration of Life will be held at Granite State Baptist Church, 236 Sheep Davis Road, Concord NH 03301 on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:30am. Family and Friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be held privately at NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
