Richard W. Ballou – Concord, NH Age 82, passed away June 27th at Havenwood Retirement Community in Concord. He was a longtime employee of Tufts University. He was a member of the Morningstar Lodge #17 AF & AM, 32nd Degree. He had served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. After retiring in 1985, he and his wife moved to Wolfeboro. While in Wolfeboro, he was active in town affairs, the Rotary Club & the First Congregational Church. In 1999 they moved to the Heritage Heights Retirement Community in Concord, NH. While in Concord, he was very active in the community, as well as the Congregational Church. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Martha (Ashman) of Concord. He is also survived by His daughter, Judith Hurlbert and her husband Jeffrey, their children, Rebecca, Jessica & Joshua, all of Stratham, NH. Son Jonathan and his wife Lindsey Ballou, and their son Jared, all of Sommersworth, NH. Their Daughter Taylor Ansler of Dover, NH. Son Roger A. Ballou and his wife Joni, and their son Graham A. all of St. Paul, MN; a sister, Elizabeth Ballou Duffield of Elizabeth City, NC, formerly of Quincy, MA. A memorial service will be held on Wed. July 13th at 2:00 PM at the Havenwood Retirement Community Auditorium in Concord. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) 2 Wellman Ave Nashua, NH 03064
