Richard Lee Callison, 72, a resident of Allenstown, passed away on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026 at his home in Allenstown, NH. He was the beloved husband of Constance (Connie) Callison.
Born on May 26, 1953 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Martha and Willard (Bud) Callison. He graduated from Memorial Highschool in Manchester, NH, in 1973 and received an associate degree as a machinist in 2003. He worked most of his life at General Electric as a toolmaker where he made many memorable friendships that lasted through the years.
He is survived by his wife Constance Florence (Plante) Callison, his son, Brandon Callison of Allenstown, NH, and his daughter-in-law Renee Callison; his daughter Robin Damas of Tewksbury MA and her husband Simeon Damas, and his grandchildren, Rylee Callison, Dylan Damas, Micah Damas and Abigail Damas. Richard is also survived by his brother Kenneth and his wife Fran of Virginia.
Richard enjoyed many camping, hiking and skiing trips with his family. He spent much of his time in recent years volunteering at his church landscaping and cooking for church suppers. On a week-day, he would often be found watching “The Price is Right” or the “Food Network”. Food enthusiast to culinary enthusiast with a discerning and eclectic palate. His favorite moments with his son and daughter-in-law revolved around a good coffee and dessert. He loved spending time with all of his grandchildren.
Rick loved to spend time with his brothers and friends in the garage or on the track. They could be found building their 67 and 70 Cameros, drag racing and going to Star Speedway. Kart racing with his son, Brandon and grandson Dylan, was one of his greatest pleasures, utilizing both his mechanical skills and his passion for racing. He put many other skills to work imparting knowledge of home renovation projects with his daughter and son-in-law.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at his church, the Suncook Methodist on Friday, May 1st, 2026 at 5:30 PM. Located at 160 Main Street Pembroke, NH
