Richard Chase<br>MILTON — Richard W Chase II, 78, of 18 Sleeping Bear Drive, died peacefully Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at his home after a brief period of failing health.<br> <br>Richard Chase<br>In Loving Memory<br>He was born on April 25, 1927, in Dexter, Maine, the son of Richard and Inga Chase.<br>He graduated from The Corinna Union Academy in 1945 before attending the Maine Maritime Academy. He was a member of the Free Masons.<br>He worked as a machinist and tool calibrator at Harris Graphics, before retiring in 1985 to open his own machine shop. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed flying his model airplanes.<br>He was married for 50 years to Joan M Chase, who predeceased him Sept. 3, 2004. He is survived by his five children, Richard Chase III and his wife, Joan, of Rochester; Timothy Chase and his wife, Debra of Lebanon, Maine; Charles Chase and his wife, Carol, of Rochester; James Chase and his wife, Dianna, of Lebanon, Maine; Cheryl Peabody and her husband, Bill, of Milton. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Carol Picard and her husband Aaron, of Milton; Mathew Chase of Dover; Richard Chase of Rochester; Thomas Chase and his wife, Jessica, of New London, Conn.; Melissa Grandmaison and her husband, Tyler, of Rochester; Nicholas and Christopher Chase of Lebanon; Benjamin and Amanda Chase of Wakefield; Elizabeth and Deborah Peabody of Milton and 1 great-grandson, Chase Vetter Picard, son of Carol and Aaron.<br>His family would like to thank the staff at Frisbie Memorial hospital for their loving care during his period of failing health.
