Richard Robert Couture, 87, died April 14, 2026, at Nashua Post Acute Care in Nashua, NH. He was born on February 19, 1939, in Lewiston, Maine, the son of Leo Couture and Anita Pinard.

He was the husband Georgette Couture (Desrocher). They were married on April 28, 1962, in Lewiston, Maine. For a time, they lived in California before returning to Maine and eventually settled in Nashua.

Richard attended college obtaining a bachelor’s degree in education. He held a variety of jobs, including an elementary school teacher, salesman and grocery merchandiser. His most passionate hobby was reading. He was an avid fan of the Boston sports teams, mainly the Red Sox, and enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and doting on his granddaughters.

He was predeceased by his parents, younger sister Constance “Connie” Loose (Couture), and granddaughter-angel Gabrielle.

Richard is survived by his wife Georgette, his three children, Denise, David, and Nicole, granddaughters Alexis and Ariana, and his brother Paul.

ARRANGEMENTS: Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Nashua. In lieu of flowers we are asking for donations to be made to Nashua Children's Home or the Gary Sinise Foundation, two cause that were dear to his heart.
