Richard P Ellsey, 62 died Tuesday evening October 17, 2006 at his home in Sandown, NH after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Lawrence, Mass and grew up in Methuen, Mass, the son of the late George and Josephine (Iannazzo) Ellsey. He attended Methuen schools. Richard proudly served his country during the Viet Nam Conflict, as a Marine for six years. He was a truck driver for many years, belonging to Local 49. Upon retiring from trucking he became a union carpenter. Richard enjoyed hunting, was and avid fisherman, making sure that his children and grandson partook in all local fishing derbies. He also took pleasure in hosting Donut card games at his home for family and dear friends. Mr. Ellsey resided in Sandown, NH for the past 27 years. He was a member of St. Annes parish. He leaves his wife of 35 years Donna (McGregor) Ellsey of Sandown, NH. His two sons Richard and James both of Sandown, NH., and daughter Kerry Ellsey also of Sandown, NH. Thomas his grandson, whom he loved dearly and Nicky who he loved as a granddaughter. Many nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and numerous friends. Arrangements: A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, October 23rd, 2006 at 10:30 in St. Annes Church Hampstead NH followed by a Committal Service at the Sandown Central Cemetery.
