Richard Fairburn

Richard James Fairburn, 86, of Hooksett, NH passed away peacefully in his home on September 28, 2021.

Richard was born in Lawrence, MA on June 20, 1935, to John and Agatha Fairburn. He was a graduate of Punchard High School, Andover, MA.

He was employed for 14 years as a Machinist/Supervisor for Hamilton Standard and Sanders Associates, and for over 30 years as an Industrial Sales Representative.

Together with his wife, Dolores, they established Del’s Dressings which featured salad dressings from family recipes. Hand in hand they volunteered for various community organizations, being very involved with the Shrine of our Lady La Salette and Warm Up America.

Family members include the love of his life, Dolores (deceased), his sister, Eileen Blanchette, his daughter, Amy Lind and her husband Robert, his son, James Fairburn, daughters, Kathleen Catlow and Sheryl Limoges, seven grandchildren, Matthew Lind, Christopher Lind, Jaclyn Catlow, Erica Lemay, Sarah, Michelle and Jennifer Limoges, two great grandchildren, Bridget and Evelyn Lind, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In his earlier years, Rick enjoyed archery, water skiing, golfing and playing guitar. He truly enjoyed social gatherings. His favorite pastime was playing board games and cards. He especially loved cribbage with the goal of skunking anyone that challenged him. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.

A generous man, always there for family, whether immediate or extended, and friends. He cherished those times he could share with them.

He is now fulfilling his true passion once again, dancing with the love of his life, Dolores. He will be greatly missed but will forever remain in our hearts.

ARRANGEMENTS: Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Manchester. His Memorial Service will be held on November 13, 2021 at 11:00A.M. at the St. Patrick Parish, 118 South Broadway, Lawrence, MA 01843.
