The Memorial service has been postponed in order to ensure the military's honor guard can be present

Richard E Goldbaum, 95, passed away on Tuesday May 10th, 2022, at his home in Atkinson, NH. He was surrounded by his beloved family, as he passed peacefully into The Great Beyond and into the never-ending adventure of eternity, in the loving embrace of The Divine Creator.

He was born on January 30th, 1927, to proud parents Robert H Goldbaum, owner and founder of Service Heel and Russell Heel manufacturing companies, and Mary Ann “May” Oatman Goldbaum, direct descendent of the founders of Connecticut and Long Island, and many signers of The Connecticut Constitution of 1638, including Thomas Stoughton, William Wadsworth, Robert Seeley, Thomas Sanford, William Tuttle, Thomas Morehouse, William Beardsley, Ralph Dayton, and Governor Francis Newman, 1658/9.

He served his country in WWII as a Merchant Marine, was an inventor who revolutionized the women’s high heel industry, and continued to create inventions after retirement, including “The Positive Charge Engine”.  He was an avid skier, loved sailing, and built model boats and airplanes with great precision of detail.  He belonged to The Fremont Fliers Club and had an aviation license. He loved listening to opera, was a fan of old-time radio comedy, and was a bibliophile and a counselor.

He is predeceased by his first wife and mother to his children, Rita King Goldbaum; second wife Evelyn Pinder Goldbaum; daughter Judith Goldbaum; brother Russell Goldbaum and wife Miriam Joy; sister Barbara Weiner and husband Paul; and grandson John Pindar.

He will be lovingly remembered and is survived by eldest son Robert A Goldbaum and wife Marjorie; their 3 children, granddaughter Laura and husband Wesley Jordan, twin granddaughters Sarah Goldbaum and Rebekah and her husband Timothy Souza; great grandchildren Alexzendrea Goldbaum Jordan (17), and Ikal Goldbaum (4);  daughter Judith’s child Benjamin Goldbaum; son Stephen Goldbaum and wife Pam Champagne; Evelyn’s four children Ricky Pindar, Roxanne Hart Priest, Peggy Priest, and Pamela Montezuma, and their children and grandchildren; plus many wonderful cousins, nephews and nieces.

The Memorial service has been postponed in order to ensure the military's honor guard can be present.
