Richard E. Gooden, a resident of Amherst, NH, passed away at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on June 28, 2020, with his partner Linda Michael at his side. He was 74.
Born in Whitefield, NH on April 16, 1946, he was the son of Lawrence and Charlotte Gooden and one of 7 children. Dick was a self-employed carpenter for 40 years and the owner of RG Remodeling. He was a graduate of Whitefield High School.
Dick loved golf and was a member of the Amherst Country Club where he made many friends over the years and played as often as he could. He loved music, playing his guitars and especially loved the Eagles band. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his willingness to help others.
Besides Linda Michael, his partner of 47 years, he leaves behind his sister, Barbara Grimard; his brother, Lewis Gooden and his wife, Mary of Whitefield, NH; and his sister, in-law Rita Gooden also of Whitefield. Dick had many nieces and nephews that meant a lot to him.
