RICHARD FREDERICK HARTFORD, SR.

Richard Fredrick Hartford Sr. of Exeter, NH lost his battle with Cancer on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. He passed peacefully surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Richard married the love of his life Elizabeth (Burns) Hartford on August 31, 1978. Bette and Dick would have celebrated their 35 wedding anniversary this year. Richard and Bette spent most of the married lives living in Amesbury, MA until they purchased their first home in Exeter, NH several years ago. Richard (Dick) worked at the Yankee Greyhound Dog Track in Seabrook for many years until his retirement last year.

He enjoyed taking rides on his motorcycle (his mistress as he would call it), going for long rides and getting lost in the car with his wife. He loved spending time with his family and friends who he considered family and going out for ice cream. He loved to laugh and make jokes and to go to yard sales. He had a tremendous love for animals especially dogs.

Richard is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Burns) Hartford; His mother Yvonne (Peltier) Brunet, his children Lyn Camarato of FL, Richard Jr. of Haverhill; Aaron Hartford of Haverhill; Edward Rossetti and Donna Merrill of Atkinson, NH, Lisa Rossetti-Nolan of VT; Sandie Rossetti of Methuen, MA. Richard was predeceased by his son, Brian Hartford. He is survived by his grandchildren Kleinowskis, Richard Hartford, Holly Hartford and Matthew Rawding and several great-grandchildren.

Richard did not want formal funeral services. A celebration of his life will be planned for the end of August. Donation in his memory can be made to Pet Tails Rescue of NH 603-942-8905 or www.facebook.com/pettailsrescue.
