Richard A. Huot

Richard Arthur Huot, age 73, died April 16, 2024 at his home in Middletown, Connecticut. He was born in Manchester, New Hampshire, the son of John F. Huot and Anne Marie Tessier. He attended local parochial schools and graduated from St. Marie High School, Class of 1968. He was employed for many years in Manchester at Bagley Movers and at SunDays Tanning Salons of Manchester and Hooksett as co-owner and manager; later he worked at several Connecticut firms and as owner and manager of several Middletown rental properties.

Richard was predeceased by his parents, his brother Gerard (wife of Margaret MacDowell), and his sister Therese (wife of Bryan Keeler). He is survived by his brothers, Henry (husband of Rodney Johnson) of Arlington, Virginia, Roland (husband of Simonne Page) of Litchfield, and Michael (husband of Kim Curreri) of Peabody, Massachusetts; and by his sister Priscille (widow of the late Gerard Tremblay and the late William Newman) of Manchester; and several nephews, nieces, and grandnephews and grandnieces.

Throughout his life Richard loved electronics and being active in local service groups wherever he lived. He was always a loyal fan of his sports teams. He will be remembered with deep appreciation for the devoted home care he provided to his elderly father for many years.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, May 18th from 10:00-11:00am at The Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00am in the funeral home. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers donations in Richard’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
