Richard H. Lamos, 83, of East Andover died December 14, 2007, at his home surrounded by loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on September 28, 1924 in Montgomery, VT son to the late Percy & Ida May (Kennison) Lamos. He proudly served in the United States Army in the Spearhead 3rd Armored Division during WWII and was a decorated soldier being awarded 2 Purple Hearts. Richard was known for his many skills he worked highway construction for R.G. Wadkins, Plazze Construction and R. W. Payne. He ran the debarker at Dalphones Lumber Mill, was in charge of Maintenance at the Eagle Square in Concord, and also worked at the Merrimack County Nursing Home. He enjoyed his family and maintaining his home. He is survived by his wife Maurine (Thisell) Lamos; his 4 sons Ricky Adams of Rutherfordton, NC, Mike and Bruce Adams of East Andover, Brent Lamos of East Andover; his 4 daughters Linda Duhamel of Franklin, Darlene Tilton of E Andover, Diane McKay of E Andover, Deborah Poulin of E. Andover; 17 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren his sister Shirley Reed of Bristol, NH, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife Elsie Ackerman, 7 brothers, and 3 sisters. A graveside service with Veterans honors will be held in the spring at the Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
