RICHARD A. RICH MCNELLY, SR. Richard A. Rich McNelly, Sr., 64, of West Stewartstown, NH died September 5, 2007 at the Coos County Nursing Hospital, after a courageous battle with Alzheimers. Born in Jersey City, NJ , on December 22, 1942, he was the son of the late James and Mareda (Turner) McNelly. He was raised in the St. Louis, MO, area moving to Wilton in 1995 and upon retirement in 2003 moved to Lancaster, NH. Rich spent 28 years with the Federal Government. First serving in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era, and in 1977 enlisted in the U.S. Army. While in the Army he was stationed at Fort Lewis, WA, Pirmasens, Germany, and Seoul, South Korea. He was also in the Army Reserves at St. Charles, MO. In 1986 he began his career with the U.S. Postal Service in St. Louis before transferring to the Manchester, NH office where he retired in 2002. Rich was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. The family includes his wife of 34 years, Brenda (Daniels) McNelly, two sons, Raymond Scott McNelly of Fort Myers, FL, Richard A. McNelly of Whitefield, a daughter Rebecca L. McNelly of Wilton, three brothers James McNelly of St. Louis, MO, Thomas McNelly of Sullivan, MO and John Ed McNelly of High Ridge, MO, 4 grandchildren, Megan, Matthew McNelly of Indiana, Robert, Selena of Whitefield, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and cousins. A Celebration of his life will be held on September 15, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in the Second Congregational Church, 25 Gregg Street, Wilton, NH. Casual attire is requested.
