Richard Wayne Morris, a beloved husband, father, and dedicated worker, passed away on August 2, 2025, just days short of his 85th birthday. Born on August 11, 1940, in Montpelier, Vermont, Richard was a proud native of the Green Mountain State who later graduated from high school in Barre, Vermont.
Richard's professional journey was marked by his remarkable 27-year career at New Jersey Machine, where he concluded his tenure as a supervisor. His dedication to his work was unwavering, and he took great pride in the accomplishments he achieved throughout his career.
In addition to his work, Richard had a passion for watching car races, which brought him much joy and excitement. His love for the outdoors was evident in his enthusiasm for camping and traveling across the country. Music was also an important part of his life; he enjoyed playing guitar and shared his talent in his band, Country Nights, creating memories filled with harmony and rhythm.
Richard cherished his family dearly. He was married to his devoted wife, Rose Morris, on July 28, 1984. Together, they built a loving home and created lasting memories. He is survived by his children, Donna Fillian and spouse Doug, Doreen Deragon, as well as his stepdaughter, Melody Braley and spouse Doug, his stepsons, James Nadeau and spouse Shirley, and John Nadeau and spouse Kathy, his several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and his great great grandchild. Richard’s legacy lives on through them, as well as the love and joy he brought to their lives.
He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Morris, and mother, Dorothy Buswell, along with his son, Robert Morris. Additionally, Richard is mourned by the loss of his stepsons, Robert and Richard Nadeau, as well as several of his brothers and sisters, all of whom hold a cherished place in his memory.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Richard Wayne Morris will be held on August 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Pellerin Events Center, located at 453 US-4, Enfield, NH 03748.
