Richard "Nick" Nicastro was born February 22, 1933 in East Boston Massachusetts to Cosmo and Esther Nicastro.
He joined the Air Force at the age of sixteen. Five years later, he married Barbara Mae Gouliaski. He served his country for 22 years before he was honorably discharged in June of 1973. There are many students who fondly remember Richard as a teacher who not only gave them a love for the profession, but also aided them with life advice.

He started a silk-screening business with his eldest daughter, and co-owned and ran the office of Elite Academy of Gymnastics for 13 years with his youngest daughter. Many residents of Hudson, NH will lovingly remember him from his time interacting with its many patrons.
Richard passed away on October 9, 2018. His wife of 57 years passed away suddenly 3 years prior. He is surrounded by his daughters Barbara Bouchard, Donna Cote and her husband Philip, Pamela Nicastro, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren. His son Richard D.
