Richard Ouellette, 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 31, 2015 after a long period of declining health. Born and raised in Salem, Ma, he was the devoted son of Elizabeth (Theriault) and Lucien Ouellette. Richard proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. A graduate of the Massachusetts Radio and Telegraph School, he worked as an Electronics Technician for many defense contractors throughout New England. Richard was a long time Senior Examiner for the Ham Radio Society of NH. An avid tropical aquarium hobbyist, he was also an award winning, past member of the Boston Aquarium Society.
Richard's family was the center of his life, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Laura (Martin) Ouellette of Goffstown, NH, his son Ronald Ouellette of Eliot, Me, his daughter Barbara Giordani and her husband John of Goffstown, NH. He leaves behind his grandchildren Tiffany McGuire, her husband Michael McGuire and their daughter Kimberly McGuire of Tacoma, WA, Chad Dowden of Manchester, NH and Jared Ouellette of Eliot, Me. He is also survived by his dear sister Theresa Charette of Spartanburg, SC and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with military honors will take place at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery on December 11, 2015 at 11am. Donations in Richard's memory can be made to the NH Veterans Cemetery Association. PO Box 626 Concord, NH 03302
