Richard Graham Putnam, 75, of Manchester, NH died December 11, 2007 at home following a period of declining health, with his partner Richard by his side. He was born on June 25, 1932 in Worcester, MA the son of the late Robert W. Putnam Sr. and Harriet E. (Souzor) Putnam. He graduated from Newton High School with the class of 1952. He was a resident of Manchester for many years. Prior to his retirement in 1997, he worked in maintenance at Filenes. Prior to this, he had worked as the housekeeping supervisor at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester for 13 years. He had also worked in real estate in Nashville, TN. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Richard enjoyed cooking, reading and pin collecting. He is survived by his life partner of 38 years, Richard Rodrigue of Manchester, NH; brother, Russell Putnam of Leesburg, FL; 3 nephews; 3 nieces; 5 great nieces and nephews and 1 great great nephew. There are no calling hours. A Private Service will be held in the spring, when his cremated remains will be scattered off the Isle of Shoals.
