Richard Reilley , age 80, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, in Sanbornville, New Hampshire. He was born on November 14, 1945, in Waterville, Maine.

Richard lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family and community. Throughout his career, Richard traveled extensively across the country while working for Goss International. Later in life, he found profound purpose in his work at substance use recovery centers, where he supported countless individuals on their journeys to healing. A proud friend of Bill W., Richard celebrated 49 years of sobriety and found immense joy in helping others achieve the same milestone. Richard cherished his roles as husband, dad, grampy, uncle, and friend.

He is survived by his wife Cheri, his son Joel Reilley and wife Tamatha and daughters Trina Reilley and wife Kim and Joyce Davidson. He was blessed with many grandchildren who brought light to his life and numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. Richard is also survived by a foster brother and 2 foster sisters who held a special place in his life.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his bonus daughter Pam and sisters Jacqueline and Barbara.

Family gatherings were among Dick’s greatest joys. He loved spending time with loved ones and friends, sharing stories and laughter that reflected his wonderful sense of humor. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed baseball and football as well as outdoor activities like fishing and hunting. Traveling was another passion of Richard’s—his favorite destination being Branson, Missouri, where he delighted in comedy shows and indulged in frozen custard. Richard’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and service to others. His deep commitment to family and unwavering support for those in recovery touched the lives of many. May the memory of his laughter and kindness bring comfort to all who knew him.
