Ossipee

Richard Noel Roberts, 83 years old, passed away on August 10, 2024 in his home in Ossipee. He was born on Dec 30, 1940 in Lynn, MA. He was the son of Agnes B. Roberts and Lyle Roberts. Richard lived in Lynn, MA most of his life and attended Lynn English high school. He retired from GE river works in Lynn where he was a welder and a Union Stewart. Richie was never married as he cared for his beloved mother her whole life.

Richie enjoyed spending his summers in Maine waterskiing, playing horseshoes, and later in life sitting by the fire telling his life story to anyone that would listen. Richie had a beautiful voice and would sing with his family at his player piano and was always the life of the party.

Richie loved working on his Classic cars and spending time with his family and their multiple dogs. He would build fences and many different contraptions to contain the dogs to keep them safe as they were escape artists.

He is predeceased by his mother Agnes Roberts, father Lyle Roberts, and brother Eugene Jenkins. Also his beloved Akita Penny who was his favorite dog.

He is survived by his loving niece who cared for him, Gina Merrick and her husband Marc Merrick of Gilmanton, his Sister in law Lucy Jenkins of Ossipee, his nephew Paul Torri of Myrtle Beach SC, his grand nephews, Paul Torri Jr and his wife Ann of Nashua, and Gavin Torri of Myrle Beach SC, and his family friends who helped care for him, Linda Covey of Ossipee and Stacey Tobin of Lynn MA. Special thanks to his caregiver Jeanie S. whom he enjoyed going places with.

Family will be holding a private memorial. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Big East Akita Rescue at bigeastakitarescue.org
