Richard "Dick" Dana Watson, Jr., age 70 of Hollis, NH died on September 27th at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH after a lengthy battle with Lewy Body Syndrome. Richard was born in Chicago, IL on September 14, 1937 to Richard Dana Watson and Eleanor Stevenson. He received a bachelors degree from Lafayette College and a masters degree from Rivier College. He served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy on the USS Gyatt. A resident of Hollis for 36 years, Richard worked for many years at Sanders and at the New Hampshire Community Technical College in Nashua. Richard was an active member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Nashua serving as a Sunday School teacher and member of the Men's Group. Richard was an amateur ham radio operator and a member of the NH Four Thousand Footer Club. Reading, traveling, snow shoeing, solving cryptograms, listening to all types of music, playing backgammon and hearts, and spending time with his grandchildren were favorite past-times. Richard is survived by Nathan T.Watson, MD of LaJolla, CA, Rachel A. Scott of Hollis, NH, and Seth D. Watson of Fort Collins, CO. He has three granddaughters Vienna, Hayleigh and Sarah. Richard has is survived by one brother Bill Watson of Rockville, MD. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Nashua, NH at 10am on Saturday, October 6, 2007. At the Pine Hill Cemetery in Dover, NH, there will be a 3pm Committal Service.
