Riki Ann Meier, 43, of Belmont, MA passed away suddenly of natural causes on October 25th, 2019. Riki was born in Rice Lake, WI and grew up in rural Wisconsin where she loved to ride horses. She later moved to Arizona where she graduated with Honors from Arizona State University. After college, Riki moved to Massachusetts where she earned her Masters in Creative Writing at Southern New Hampshire University and worked as a Senior Auditor at Harvard University while also teaching ESL classes online to youth in China. Riki's love of nature and animals continued in MA where she volunteered at the Massachusetts Audubon Society as a goat tender, loved to visit the Butterfly Place, and loved to sit in the local parks to read. Riki loved to live life to the fullest and each year, for her birthday, she would do something that she's never done before such as swimming with dolphins, hang-gliding, sky-diving, racetrack driving, trapeze school, hot air ballooning, waterfall rappelling, and traveling to explore new places. Riki's passing has left a void in this world that cannot be filled and her family is devastated. Riki is survived by her mother Carol Block and stepfather Ivan of Wausau, Wisconsin, her sister Lara Meier of Phoenix, Arizona, her Aunt Janet Markowitz (Jerry) Marana, Arizona, her Aunt Diane Gelinas (David) of Candia, New Hampshire and countless friends, cousins and extended family who have all been lucky enough to be able to bear witness to the light that she was in this world. A Memorial Service will be held at Victory Baptist Church, 78 Litchfield Road, Londonderry, New Hampshire on Saturday, November 16, at 11 a.m. Flowers are welcome and should friends desire, donations in memory of our beloved Riki may be made to the Massachusetts Audubon Society via the "Honorary & Memorial Gifts" tab on their website. https://www.massaudubon.org/get-involved/ways-to-give
