Robert D. Alberts, 78, of 30 Old Milford Road, Amherst died on March 5, 2001 at Greenbriar Terrace Nursing Home in Nashua after a period of failing health. Mr. Alberts was born on December 10, 1922 in Colonie, NY the son of the late Edward and Florence (Ware) Albert. He was a US Air Force veteran who served in World War II. Mr. Alberts was a diesel mechanic for Barber-Greene for almost 20 years throughout the New England area. He then worked for Ingersoll-Rand as a salesperson until retirement. Family members include; his wife of 52 years, Waltraut ( Koeneke) Alberts; three sons, Robert Alberts of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, Edward Alberts of Groton, CT and Craig Alberts of Manchester, NH; one daughter, Lizbeth Mills of Manchester, NH; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
