Robert "Bob" A. Foote

On March 22, 2024, Robert Albert (Bob) Foote, 86, passed away in Milford, New Hampshire after a brief illness.

Bob was born on January 3, 1938 in Francestown, New Hampshire to Earnest Foote and Clarissa (Law) Foote. Bob grew up on a dairy farm with his twin brother Richard (Dick) and 7 other siblings. He joined the US Army in August of 1961 and was stationed at Fort Hood Texas as part of the 2nd Battalion, 81st Armored Division and served our country during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was proud to be a United States Veteran. Bob was a dedicated and talented welder and fabricator and was employed by Manchester & Boston Sand and Gravel for 40 years. One of his proudest accomplishments with them was his involvement with the “Big Dig” project in Boston. Upon his retirement in 2000, Bob continued to work as a contractor for his former employer as well as starting his own business, Foote Built Welding.

Bob enjoyed spending time visiting with his large family and with all his friends. He was a prankster, and you never knew who might fall victim to his latest antics.  He could be found most afternoons at Dunkin Donuts enjoying coffee with a group of friends. Bob had a passion for cooking, canning, gardening and farming. He also loved to visit Pennsylvania Dutch Country and he made several Amish friends there with whom he was friends for decades. He was able to visit them last summer and talked often about returning this summer.

Bob was predeceased by his wife Virginia “Ginny” (McLaughlin) Foote, and his son Frederick Foote. He was also predeceased by siblings Minietta Vadney, Vurlyne Curtis, Lester Foote, Clifton Foote, Herbert Foote, and his twin brother Richard Foote.

Bob is survived by two sisters, Florence DeLill of Rindge NH, and Nancy Lamoureux of Jaffrey, NH, several step-children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who loved to visit with him.
