Robert "Bob" C. McIntosh

Listen to Obituary

After a courageous battle with cancer, Bob passed peacefully on the morning of November 13, 2025, surrounded by love. Born in Marblehead, MA on July 12, 1955, to Harold and Evelyn (Church) McIntosh. After finishing school, his ever-present sense of wanderlust brought him around the North Shore of Massachusetts, to Maine and eventually he built a homebase in Plymouth, NH.

Bob wore many hats, from chef to scout leader to coach but most important to him was dad. There was nothing more important to him than supporting his family; he could always be found on the sideline, in the audience or sitting at the table telling you what you needed to hear (even when you didn’t want to hear it).

His many adventures over the years brought him from commercial kitchens to the classroom. In the early 2000’s he started teaching at Concord Regional Technical Center, where he spent the next 20 years teaching culinary arts. From basic knife skills to National Competitions, he taught it all – the most important lesson being for all of his students to believe in themselves.

He is survived by his four children: Casey McIntosh Leonard, Dylan McIntosh, Garrett Gessner, and Amanda Abelmann, his beloved grandchild, Caleb, and the countless students whose lives he touched and were like family to him.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 22nd from 1pm-4pm at the Tenney Mtn Base Lodge located at 151 Tenney Mountain Rd, Plymouth, NH. All are welcome to join the family to share memories & stories.
