Robert "Bob" Burke, CTRC USN Ret., 92, of Contoocook, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully in his home on October 20, 2026. Born in Hyannis, Massachusetts, on March 6, 1934, Robert lived a full and meaningful life defined by service, adventure, and an unwavering love for his family and country.

By his side in his final moments was his faithful companion for afternoon naps and quiet moments, Mr. Moose, snuggled close just as he had been so many times before.

A decorated veteran, Robert proudly served in the United States Navy for 22 years. Following his military service, he worked for Blue Seal and RIVCO Windows and Doors before retiring. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hot air ballooning, traveling, and spending time working on projects and watching the wildlife around his home.

A devoted father and partner, Robert was someone his family could always count on, offering thoughtful advice, a listening ear, and a forgiving heart. He understood human weakness and met it with compassion rather than judgment. He knew how to laugh, and his warmth and humor were gifts to all who knew him.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Betti Burke; stepdaughter, Michelle Korbet; seven grandchildren: Adam, Jonathan, John, Rachel, Sr Bernadette, Tara, and Zachary; 18 great-grandchildren; and 3 nieces Donna, Fran and Sandy.

He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, James Burke; his first wife, Virginia Burke; his true love, Jean Robertson; his sons, Philip and Alan Burke; and his granddaughter, Jacquelyn.

He leaves his family with cherished memories of his kindness, his laughter, and the steady reassurance of knowing he was always there for them.

In accordance with Robert's wishes, a private service will be held to honor his life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the NH Audubon, Attn: Development, 84 Silk Farm Road, Concord, NH 03301.

Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Boscawen. To view Robert's Online Tribute, send condolences to the family, or for more information, visit www.csnh.com.
