Robert Carey

Robert (Bob) W. Carey, Sr., formerly of Nashua, NH and Haverhill, MA, passed peacefully on September 22, 2019 at Hanover Hill Health Care in Manchester, NH after a long battle of declining health.

Born in Haverhill, MA, Bob grew up in Bradford, MA and was one of eight children of the late John and Margaret (Blackburn) Carey. He graduated from Haverhill Trade School in 1957 and married Sandra A. (Brennan) Carey of Merrimacport, MA in 1958. He is retired from the Nashua Public School System, where he worked for many years at The Main Dunstable School. He previously worked for Old Kerry Beverages, Haverhill, MA.
Bob and Sandi were always on the sidelines of their grandsons' countless soccer and lacrosse games for many years. They also enjoyed the time they spent at Loon Mountain with their family.

He is predeceased by wife wife, Sandra (2005) and a grandson, Mitchell B. Carey (1991). He will be sadly missed by his two children, son, Robert W. Carey, Jr. and his wife, Jane Waldie of Barlett, NH, and daughter, Robin A. Rosencranz and her husband Dana of Weston, MA. "Papa" was the proud grandfather of three grandsons, Matthew, Ryan and Jake Rosencranz. He is also survived by his brothers, James Carey and his wife, Susanne of Merrimac, MA and Paul Carey and his wife, Marie of Plaistow, NH, sisters-in-law Rachel Carey of Merrimac, MA and Cathy Carey of Haverhill, MA. He was predeceased by his brothers, Richard Carey and John Carey and sisters, Viola Gallant, Rose Proia and Audrey Winter.
