ROBERT F. CHENETTE PENACOOK - Robert F. Chenette, 64, known to some as "shotgun", died Friday, August 8, at Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association Hospice House, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Rochester, NH, on July 25, 1944, the son of the late William and Ida (Osia) Chenette. Mr. Chenette was a police officer for 7 years in the town of Pittsfied. He also was a mechanic for most of his life, most recently working for the town of Bow, where he repaired school buses and police cars. He is survived by his wife, Linda (MacArthur) Chenette, of Penacook; 4 children, Christina Chenette, of Hooksett; Robert W. Chenette, of Boscawen; Scott Chenette, of Epsom and Bryan Chenette, of Concord; 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 brother, William Chenette, of Loudon; 2 sisters, Shirley Hamel, of Allenstown; Virginia Dow, of Epping, NH; nieces and nephews. Bob touched a lot of lives and will be missed by many. A memorial gathering will be Thursday, August 14, from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M., at the Cremation Society of NH Chapel, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 7:00 PM. It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to The CRVNA Hospice House, Pleasant Street, Concord, NH 03301, in memory of Mr. Chenette.
