Robert S. Cornett Sr. Contractor/Musician Robert S. Cornett of Amherst, NH age 73, passed away on September 10th, 2007. Mr. Cornett was born in Syracuse, NY, son of Herbert and Doris Cornett, and lived many years in the Fayetteville and Manlius NY area. He was predeceased by his parents and one sister, Jane L. Cornett. He was survived by his wife of 53 years, Joan Pfaff Cornett. He is also survived by two daughters, Corinne Pullen and husband Craig of Canterbury, NH and Cheryl Fimbel and husband Robert of Olympia, WA and one son R. Scott Cornett Jr., and wife Nancy of Milford, NH, four granddaughters, Ashley, Kelly and Jennifer Pullen and Laurel Fimbel, two grandsons, Robert S. Cornett III and Michael Fimbel, and one great-grandson, Jackson Nault. Bob graduated from Fayetteville High School class of 1951, and attended Syracuse University where he was a member of DKE fraternity. He was a tennis enthusiast and played in high school, college and for recreation until age 60. Bob’s life work was as a building contractor in central New York and continued upon moving to New Hampshire in 1971. Bob built many custom homes in the Amherst area. Upon retiring in 1995, he entertained with his “stride style” piano playing at many restaurants, lounges and senior centers throughout the state. There are no calling hours. A family memorial tribute to honor Bob’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cremation Society of New Hampshire.
