Robert “Bob” Dale Sherman Jr., 78 of Effingham, NH, died peacefully at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH, following a heart attack on Sunday, January 19th, 2025. Bob was born and grew up in Nantucket, MA. He attended and graduated from Nantucket High School in 1965. After which, he served in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1972. Bob fought in the Vietnam War and returned home a hero and was honorably discharged. He was a master plumber for most of his adult working life, before retiring.
Bob was a loving father and was looking forward to building bonds with and getting to know his grandchildren. He was an animal lover, always having a pet up until the last couple years of his life. Bob was always willing to lend a helping hand when he could, and he was a great listener. Bob was loved and respected by of all his family and community.
Bob is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Phyllis Sherman, 2 siblings, Lori Sherman Folger and Dale Allen Sherman. Bob is survived by his 3 children, Bethany Sherman Howe and her husband Jason, Nicole “Nikki" Cobb and her husband Ben, Dale Sherman and his wife Sarah, and his 5 grandchildren, Ashton and Nevaeh Howe, Jackson Cobb, Vincent and Harvey Sherman.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date, to be determined.
