Robert "Bob" J. Dearborn, 75, of Franklin died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on December 3, 2002 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Mr. Dearborn was born on March 22, 1927 in Franklin, New Hampshire. He was the son of the late Leon and Doris (Holt) Dearborn. He was a U S Army Veteran who served in World War II and retired as a staff sergeant. Prior to retirement he spent thirty years working as a paper machine operator for John's Mansville and Quin-T in Tilton. After retiring, Mr. Dearborn spent several years working part time at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in the laundry department. Family members include; his wife of 52 years, Dorothy (Decato) Dearborn; one daughter, Brenda Cushman of Franklin; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Frank Dearborn of Brattleboro, Vermont; two sisters, Lois Woods and Marjorie St. Jacques both of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. Services and burial will take place in the spring at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
