Robert J. Dedo Sr. born in Keene, NH on June 18, 1920 died at his home in Grantham, NH on May 18, 2000 at the age of 79. He graduated from Keene High School class of 1939 and served in the Army Air Force as a B24 Navigator for four years during World War II. Mr. Dedo was employed by Markem Corporation in Keene for 42 years prior to his retirement in 1982. Mr. Dedo was well known for his participation and enjoyment of all sports. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and skier. He was the last honorary member inducted into the 10th Mountain Division. He is survived by his wife, Janet; a son, Robert J. Dedo Jr.; a daughter, Margaret-Mary Hawthorne; four stepchildren; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and his brother Marty Dedo of Keene, as well as many surviving members of his family of origin of Italy. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2000 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Keene at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 360 Route 101, Unit 501, Bedford, NH 03110 or to the charity of one's choice.
