Robert W. Dunbar Jr.

Robert Wesley Dunbar Jr., 52, of Medford, ME died unexpectedly Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. He was born in Concord, NH August 18, 1971, the son of Robert Dunbar Sr. and June Gilbert. He grew up in Canterbury and Northfield and lived several years in Boscawen and Salisbury before moving to Medford, ME.

Robert was a patriotic man who loved his country. He was a gentle, loving, kind and humble man who loved his family and friends. He was always there for anyone that needed him. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking, four wheeling, snowmobiling, gardening and working on his land. He was in the process of building his dream home in Maine with his wife.

Robert is survived by his wife, Billie Jean Dunbar; children, Tiffany Lucier and her husband Ethan Lucier , Crystal Parent, Felicia Parent and her fiancé Ethan Thiem, Michael Smith and Matthew Smith; grandchildren, Marcus Lucier, Savannah Lucier, Ryleigh Thiem and Liam Thiem; parents, Robert Dunbar Sr. and his wife Barbara Lewis, and June Gilbert and her husband Frank Gilbert; siblings, Heather Maguire, Kenneth Dunbar and his wife Sandra Dunbar and Valerie Dunbar; niece, Emily Maguire; and many relatives and friends.

Services will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Franklin Baptist Church, 21 Church St., Franklin, NH, at 1:00 PM followed by a gathering and luncheon at the church.
