Robert “Bob” Tucker, 78, of Bridgewater, NH passed away on June 9, 2024, of natural causes at the NH Veterans Home in Tilton, with loved ones by his side.
Born November 1, 1945, in Franklin, NH, to Raymond and Leona (Gilpatric) Tucker. Bob was a hard-working man, was quick witted, always had a story or a joke to tell and wasn’t afraid to speak what was on his mind. He had a love of the outdoors, music and his family. When not working he loved to hunt, fish, shoot guns, ATV, snowmobile, snowshoe, make maple syrup, watch local auto racing and spend time with family and friends.
Bob Graduated from Newfound Memorial High School in 1965. After high school he enlisted in the Navy and served during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1971. Upon his return he worked for his father in construction. He purchased the business from his father in 1980 and was self employed until he retired. He also logged during the winter for several years. He was married in 1972-1980 to the mother of his two children.
Bob is survived by his sister Marylin L. Kimball of Meredith, NH; daughter, Tammy (Tucker) Douville and her husband Dan of Bridgewater, NH; son, Daniel Tucker and his wife Jen of Bridgewater, NH; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Welch) Snell and her husband Cory of Laconia, NH; Courtney (Douville) Devost and her husband David of Bridgewater, NH; Nathan Tucker of Bridgewater, NH; Alexis Douville of Gilford, NH; Emma Tucker of Bridgewater, NH and Mattison Douville of Bridgewater, NH; great grandchildren, Wesley and Marilyn Devost; Emmett and Aubrey Snell and Easton Tucker; many nieces and nephews.
Bob was predeceased by his mother, Leona (Gilpatric) Tucker; father, Raymond Tucker and sister, Shirley (Tucker) Hill.
Family and friends are welcome to join us for a celebration of life at the Bridgewater Town Hall, 297 Mayhew Turnpike (Rt. 3A) in Bridgewater, NH, on Sunday June 23, 2024, between 3-6 PM.
Bob had donated to several organizations through the years, for those who wish, donations may be made in Bob’s name to NH Veterans Home- Recreation Dept. or the Parkinsons Foundation.
