Robert Elton Hardman Sr. Retired MSGT USAF Robert E. Hardman Sr., Age 70, died peacefully June 23, 2005 at his home in Hudson, NH after a battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was born August 25, 1934 in Clendenin, West Virginia. He was one of ten children born to the late John and Mary Hardman. He was married to Carmen (Craft) Hardman, his high school sweet-heart for 48 years. He was a 1952 graduate of Clendenin High School. He proudly served his country by serving four years in the U.S. Navy and subsequently retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1973 with 21 years of combined service to his country. He worked for Hampshire Lens for twenty years and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Hawthorne College. He has spent the last ten years working part-time for Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH. Above all, he will be remembered for his loving and generous nature. Aside from his wife, he is survived by five children and their partners, Robert E. Hardman Jr. of Litchfield, Michael and Linda Hardman of Raymond, Kathy and Calvin Messer of Litchfield, Patricia Hardman and Julie Armento of Londonderry, and Michele Hardman of Louisiana. Six grandchildren, three sisters, four brothers, four sisters in-law, his mother in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him. Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside committal service on Monday June 27, 2005 at 3:00 PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery 110 Daniel Webster Highway Boscawen, NH 03303. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mr. Hardmans memory, to the Merrimack Valley Hospice 360 Merrimack Street Lawrence, MA 01843.
